What I am about to tell you has taken many years to learn, but seriously good to know.

Roma: Drive to Narni - 35 mins. The parking is free. Leave the car, go into the station.
Buy a train ticket from a vending machine and take the train to Roma Termini in 50 minutes.

Firenze: ( Or Florence to the Anglos…) Take the car up the E45 past Perugia, around Lago Trasimeno towards Cortona to Terontola - 90 mins. Leave the car, take the train to Firenze Santa Maria Novella Stazione - 75 mins. and you are there in the center of Florence.

Siena: Drive directly and park at the Porto Romano - get a ticket from the machine and you are just behind the duomo. Which is the photo in this story.

Incredible to be within this distance of each of these jewels.
